recently, starting from haiti, the series of earthquakes took place in chile and turkey. among all these disasters, the turkish earthquake seems to be the most tragic event to koreans.
why? because to korea, turkey has been the most reliable ally. during the korean war in 1950s, turkey sent 15,000 troops, third most among the un peacekeeping forces, to help korea fight communism. if we go a little bit further, ancestors of turkey allied with the ancient kingdom of korea to fight chinese empires.
